Numerous deeply smoky quartz crystals rise across the matrix, ranging from smaller points to substantial, beautifully defined terminations. The quartz has a rich, nearly black smoky color with flashes of translucency when held to the light, along with beautiful natural striations and luster across the crystal faces.

What really sets this piece apart is the soft sage-green chlorite coating that spreads across the matrix, growing around and partially coating the smoky quartz. The contrast is gorgeous—the earthy green chlorite almost looks like moss growing between a forest of dark quartz crystals.
