The star of this piece is the large, deeply smoky quartz crystal rising dramatically from the matrix. Its rich, nearly black color gives way to subtle translucency under the right light, with a beautifully defined termination and natural growth striations along the crystal faces. Surrounding smoky quartz crystals add dimension throughout the specimen, while glossy black schorl tourmaline and contrasting cream-colored feldspar create an incredible natural composition.

At approximately 3 × 3 inches and 140 grams, this is a substantial collector specimen with something interesting to discover from nearly every angle. The combination of crystal size, deep smoky color, contrasting minerals, and renowned Erongo locality makes this one especially beautiful.
